Experience

D.J. Scheffler & Nye utilizes a variety of track mounted drill rigs capable of advancing drilled shafts through extremely hard subsurface materials including coring through Reinforced Concrete. These specialized machines meet the requirements of the most challenging projects. D.J. Scheffler & Nye employs highly skilled operators capable of drilling through existing concrete structures such as existing bridge decks. Holes cored by drill rigs can be as large as 10 feet in diameter and as deep as 100 feet. D.J. Scheffler & Nye has successfully completed projects drilling through granite, limestone and sandstone in some of the hardest rock locations in the country. Several completed projects required coring and drilling through rocks with a density of 21,000 PSI in strength.
